Diary – Day 1
Blue screen Scene

First day of filming begins. The actors arrive in time thankfully, we collected all props but improvising was necessary as the grim reaper scythe went missing! A quick trip to the bargain store sorted that problem. The XL2 cameras were prebooked and ready.
Cast and crew arrived at set and began blue screen filming. There were problems with bad acting from CERTAIN members of the crew, but somehow I feel that wont be a problem next filming session. The grim reaper opening scene is complete!

Dairy – Day 2
Zombie graveyard scene

After a long location scout we decided on a graveyard to film the zombie scene. The perfect position was located with a view of the cathedral in the background, enhancing the horror effect. We were all set to film but actors failed to turn up…. More improvising allowed us to continue shooting however interference from dogs and passing OAPs didn’t make life any easier. Not to mention the lead actor throwing away his costume after the shot making continuity impossible. Some people really are idiots.

Diary – Day 3
Reshoot of zombie scene

Finally a chance to get this film shot. All actors present and accounted for…well most of them at least. We have had a few problems with disappearing actors but that is easily fixed. There’s always plenty of hopeful stars eager to act in a great movie like this. The snow produced a great atmosphere and added to the tension in the settings. Emma’s screaming will make really good sound effects but Paul’s dancing could use some work..he may have to be dealt with.

Diary – Day 4
Chase scene

This shooting involved a trek deep into the woods. Directors aren’t supposed to have to deal with this kind of thing! The brambles and branches left us scratched all over. FINALLY we found a decent spot on a hill to film the chase scene. The shot went well but our cameraman insisted on falling over every single branch and running each take. We have plenty of shot running into trees thankfully which can be manipulated. The sound effects also added to the fast paced tension with the crackle of leaves and the breathless panting! This film may just work!

Diary – Day 5
Interview Scene

Not exactly a planned shot our cameraman decided to film me and our soon-to-be-star Sarah in a discussion about the missing crew. That idiot girl seems to believe that my cast are being murdered! How stupid they all just….had to take a short break for a while due to a flu epidemic. It won’t affect the filming schedule at all there’s plenty more where they came from.
